The short version
TheFancyFonts has no accounts and no sign-up. The text you type to generate fancy fonts is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to, or stored on, our servers. The only thing saved is an optional list of styles you've starred as Favorites, which lives in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
What we don't collect
We don't require or ask for your name, email, or any account information to use the site, and we don't store the text you type anywhere.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get used and how much traffic the site gets. It sets cookies and collects information like your approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and which pages you visit, and sends this to Google. We don't use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies from google-analytics.com and googletagmanager.com in your browser settings.
Browser local storage
If you tap the ★ next to a style, that style's ID is saved in your browser's local storage under the key tff:favorite-styles so your Favorites list is still there next time you visit. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data for thefancyfonts.com.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for each request (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and reliability purposes. This is normal web server behavior, not something specific to this site, and we don't combine it with any other data to identify individual visitors.
Advertising
If and when this site displays ads (for example, through Google AdSense), those ads may be served by Google and its advertising partners, who may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors from the EEA and UK will be shown a consent choice before any personalized ad or advertising cookie is set.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles data changes, most likely by adding advertising, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change. Significant changes will be reflected here directly; there's no separate mailing list since we don't collect email addresses from visitors.
