About the Black Ops One font
Black Ops One was designed by James Grieshaber and Eben Sorkin. It's a low-contrast, semi-geometric typeface based on military stencil lettering: heavy, sturdy and punchy. Because of the small stencil cuts in each letter, it looks best at medium to large sizes, where those gaps read as part of the design. A 2022 update extended its language support. The Black Ops One font is free under the SIL Open Font License.
Is it the Call of Duty font?
No. Despite the name, Black Ops One isn't the official font of Call of Duty: Black Ops. It's an independent design with a similar military stencil feel, which is why people use it for fan-made Call of Duty style graphics, clan logos and shooter game titles.
