Brat Text Generator
This brat text generator turns anything you type into an image in the style of Charli XCX's Brat album cover: lowercase, narrow, slightly blurry text centered on a flat lime-green square. The preview updates as you type, and the finished picture downloads as a 1080px PNG or JPG, or copies straight to your clipboard.
The default settings match the original cover. From there you can switch to pink, black, white or your own colors, stack words on several lines, justify them edge to edge like the meme versions, and export as a square post, a 4:5 feed image, a 9:16 story or a 16:9 header. Use it as a brat album generator for your own fake cover, a meme, a playlist image or a wallpaper.
Press Enter for a new line. Long text shrinks to fit.

How to make a brat album cover in four steps
This brat album cover generator takes four steps. Type your word or phrase in the text box. Press Enter wherever you want a new line, since long lines also wrap and shrink on their own. Pick a color: Brat green is the original album, and the other presets cover the black, white and pink versions people search for most. Leave the blur at 4 for the cover's soft edge, or drop it to 0 for crisp text. Then hit Download PNG. The file is 1080 pixels wide, large enough for an Instagram post, a profile picture or a phone wallpaper without looking fuzzy in the wrong way.
What font does the brat album cover use?
The cover of Brat, released on 7 June 2024, sets the word "brat" in lowercase Arial Narrow, a condensed cut of Arial. The New York studio Special Offer, Inc. designed the artwork and blurred the text slightly so it looks almost like a low-quality screenshot. Arial Narrow is a licensed Monotype font, so this brat font generator draws your text in Arimo, a free font built to match Arial's letter widths, and squeezes it horizontally to about 82% of normal width. If you were looking for a brat font download, that's the short answer: there is no special brat typeface, only Arial Narrow plus blur, and this tool does both for you.
Brat generator colors: green, pink, black and white
The original cover green is usually matched as hex #8ACE00, a flat lime with no gradient or texture. The deluxe edition, Brat and It's the Same but There's Three More Songs So It's Not, swapped it for black text on a plain white background, which is the White preset here. Black flips the original to white text on black, the usual brat generator black look for darker memes and phone wallpapers, and Black & green keeps the lime as text color. If you came for a brat generator pink version, the Pink preset is a fan-made color rather than an official release. If none of those fit, the two color pickers in the brat text generator let you set any background and text color.
A brat meme generator for any word
The cover became a meme within weeks of release. On 22 July 2024 Charli XCX posted "kamala IS brat", and the Kamala HQ campaign account redid its banner in the same green and lowercase font. Collins English Dictionary then named "brat" its 2024 word of the year. Most brat memes use the same recipe: a few lowercase words on the green background, sometimes justified so each line runs edge to edge. That's the default setup of this brat meme generator. Type your name, a pet's name, a song title or an inside joke into the brat text generator above. Longer captions work too, so it doubles as a brat words generator: paste a whole sentence and it wraps and shrinks until it fits.
Brat image generator sizes for posts, stories and headers
The 1:1 square matches the album cover and fits Instagram grid posts, Spotify playlist covers, Discord avatars and profile pictures. 4:5 fills more of the Instagram feed. 9:16 is 1080 by 1920 pixels, the full screen for TikTok, Reels, Stories and a phone lock screen. 16:9 is 1920 by 1080 for YouTube thumbnails, desktop wallpapers and X headers. The brat text generator re-fits your words to each shape, so switching shapes never crops a word off the edge.
How this brat album text generator differs from the official one
Charli XCX and Atlantic Records launched the original Brat Generator website when the cover first went viral. It only works as a live preview, so you screenshot the result to keep it. This brat font generator saves a real full-resolution file instead, and adds the colors and sizes the official site never had. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type gets uploaded.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this brat text generator free?
+
Yes. It's free with no account, no watermark and no download limit. The image is drawn in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
What font is used on the Brat album cover?
+
Arial Narrow in lowercase, slightly blurred. This brat text generator uses Arimo, an open-source Arial match, squeezed to Arial Narrow's width, so the result looks the same without needing the licensed font.
Can I download the brat font?
+
There's no separate brat font file to download, since the cover uses the standard Arial Narrow typeface. If you only need the brat look as an image, typing here and saving the PNG gets you there without installing anything.
What is the brat green hex code?
+
#8ACE00 is the hex code most commonly used to match the cover. It's the default background here, and you can also enter it in any design app.
How do I make a brat image with a black or pink background?
+
Click the Black, Black & green or Pink preset under Color. For any other shade, use the Background and Text color pickers below the presets.
Why is my text lowercase even though I typed capitals?
+
The album cover is all lowercase, so the brat text generator lowercases text by default. Untick "Force lowercase" to keep your capitals.
Can I make an animated brat video or lyric GIF?
+
Yes, on the Brat Lyric Generator. It animates your lyrics word by word in the same style and exports an MP4 video or a GIF.
